Clothes Of Glory

From gold made pure by long-suffering,
weaved with silver refined by our tears,
are sewn our Clothes Of Glory;
kept hidden until finished
at the end of all our years.

Created by the Master Tailor
for the Greatest Day in all of time:
His stitches are exquisite;
God neither rests nor hurries
while He sews your clothes, and mine.

Threads spun from our ‘sacrifice of praise’
embroider each silken veil of lace;
twelve jewels early chosen
adorn our Wedding Dress: all
for the Great Day of God’s Grace.

As Saved, we’ll kneel before our Saviour;
as Bride, we’ll rise up to greet our Groom;
as Beloved, we’ll walk and talk
with Jesus our Husband King,
far away from death’s dark tomb.
