My Chains Are Gone
My chief desire in all my writings, is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and make Him beautiful and glorious in the eyes of people; and to promote the increase of repentance, faith, and holiness upon earth - J. C. Ryle (1816-1900)

This Most Joyous Day

When man and woman together sing
that old and precious song;
when his heart hums that special tune
and her heart sings along;
night soon fades and shadows cease:
love’s melody plays on.

As two candles brighter glow,
two hearts entwined shall also grow
into the strongest love of all;
bright beyond their own small world: ’til
in such brilliance we all can see
God’s priceless gift of eternity.

Today, on this most joyous day,
two bright hearts have lit our way;
and upon their path of shining love
we now find another Light: One Who
illuminates both heart and mind.

In God’s great love our hearts can sing
a most holy ancient song; and
filled with heaven’s peace and joy
we bow our heads to pray:
May God our Father in Jesus Christ
bless these most sacred marriage vows,
and refresh them each new day.”
