Quite The Journey

Lord, it’s been quite the journey.

So I ask You: is there no end
to all the strife and struggle
with each and every step
at each and every bend?

True. You caught me as I stumbled
over the worst of cracks and rocks.
Yes. You even blessed me as I grumbled.
I agree. No kinder path, no other
could have done so much for me,
nor said so well “I love her“.

Still, Lord, it’s been quite the journey.
I’m tired and I’m hungry.
I think I’ll rest here just for now.

What’s that, Jesus?
Your Fruit grows sweetest
just beyond the hardest mile?

Lord, I must say…this is quite the journey!

Let’s keep walking just a little further.
Lets keep talking just a little while.
